I point the camera out the window

The sky steady and blue

The mesas strong but vulnerable from the journey

The grasses along the roadside blurry and buffeted

I started Marieta as a scrapbook. Memories from the road of my life up to this point and flashes from my imagination of the places I have yet to go, the people I have yet to meet - and the woman I will soon be. I grew up in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Rolling Hills, fields of wildflowers, always barefoot. I moved to the coast of Northern California and watched the ocean from the bluffs as the wind brushed my cheeks on its own journey through the foothills, past the forests and into the mountains. But New York City waited for me. I designed resortwear for the better part of a decade – and I grew and learned.

Marieta is committed to supporting women an all aspects of the business. Overseas we partner with female owned factories and cooperatives and hire female whenever possible. We ensure that each piece is made in ethical conditions, made by people who love their jobs and with fabric that is sourced by ethical means.

Designed in New York, made in India, my line sews effortless and feminine from floating fabrics of oversized shapes – raw, luxe and clean. Informed by the beach, a touch of vintage and always feminine.

Marieta is my camera out the window. I see the raw and the beautiful. The obvious and the uncertain.
